Pleated Filter Cartridge with Stainless Steel Support Core

This industrial pleated filter cartridge is designed for removing fine particles and solid contaminants from oil, water and other process liquids. The pleated filter media provides a large filtration area within a compact cartridge, allowing higher dirt-holding capacity and longer service life than many conventional surface filters.

The cartridge uses a metal inner support core and reinforced end caps to maintain its shape under pressure. Different filter media, filtration ratings, dimensions and sealing materials can be selected according to the actual process conditions.

Where Is This Filter Cartridge Used?

This type of pleated filter cartridge is normally installed inside a filter housing. The liquid enters the housing, passes through the pleated filter media, and particles are trapped before the clean liquid flows to the next process.

In hydraulic systems, it can be used to remove metal particles, dust and other contamination from hydraulic oil. Clean hydraulic oil helps protect pumps, valves, cylinders and other precision components from wear and blockage.

In lubrication systems, the cartridge can filter lubricating oil before it reaches bearings, gears and rotating equipment. This helps reduce equipment wear and extend the service life of both the oil and the machinery.

In industrial oil filtration systems, it can be used for turbine oil, compressor oil, gear oil, fuel and other process oils where fine particle removal is required.

In chemical production, the cartridge can be installed before pumps, valves, heat exchangers or other sensitive equipment to remove suspended particles from process liquids and reduce downstream contamination.

In water and general industrial liquid filtration, suitable filter media can also be selected for removing rust, sediment and other fine particles before finer filtration or production equipment.

A simple way to understand its function is that this cartridge acts as the “fine cleaning stage” inside the filtration system. It removes small particles that may not be visible to the eye but can still cause equipment wear, product contamination or blockage.

Large Filtration Area and High Dirt-Holding Capacity

The pleated structure increases the effective filtration area without making the cartridge excessively large. A larger filtration area allows more liquid to pass through the filter media and gives the cartridge more space to retain contaminants.

This can provide a lower initial pressure drop, longer operating time and fewer cartridge replacements compared with filter elements having a smaller filtration area.

Strong Internal Support

The perforated metal inner core supports the pleated filter media during operation and helps prevent deformation under differential pressure.

Metal end caps and sealing components provide a stable connection with the filter housing. Different gasket materials can be selected according to the liquid, temperature and chemical compatibility requirements.
